Summer 2025 Internship

We are looking for virtual interns to join our team this summer. Interns will assist publicists with day-to-day PR and digital marketing activities, working to implement creative promotions for our clients. This summer we are specifically looking for candidates with interest in event PR as well as social media - planning and strategy; content creation; and channel management. This position is a fully remote/virtual internship at a fast-paced agency. Interns who are based in the Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Charlotte, or Dallas metropolitan areas may have the opportunity to support at off-site events too. The following qualifications are required:

  • Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for full duration of the internship

  • Fully remote/virtual experience; company-owned laptop provided for the duration of the internship program

  • This position is targeted toward undergraduate and recent graduate students

Ideal Candidates Are:

  • Passionate about travel, hospitality, food & beverage, and/or emerging brands

  • Driven, self-starters, who get excited at the thought of a challenge

  • Interested in mass communication, social media, and/or digital marketing strategy

  • Eager and willing to learn

Responsibilities Include:

  • Create and edit social media content (still & video)

  • Draft media alerts, press releases, talking points, social media copy, and content creation

  • Research projects related to client trends, media landscape, and community contacts/organizations

  • Compile data in a consistent, organized, easy-to-understand fashion

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to help craft and implement PR, media relations, and digital marketing plans

  • Build targeted media and community lists

  • Track broadcast, print, radio, digital, and new media to assemble coverage reports

  • Assist with taking photograph captions, checking in attendees, and supporting event staff at on-client events

  • Contribute to LRA’s owned social and editorial platforms

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of PR and digital marketing concepts and practices

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Collaborative and team-oriented

  • Detail-oriented

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines at once

Position Type

This is a paid internship at a rate of $17.50 per hour. Internships typically last between 12-15 weeks and require 10-15 hours per week. Some weekend and evening hours may be required.
