NEW SHOWS ANNOUNCED AT CITY WINERY WASHINGTON DC
City Winery CEO, Michael Dorf, Debuts his Book on 11/5
Washington, DC (October 21, 2019)—City Winery Washington DC (1350 Okie St NE) has added several new shows to the Concert Venue and Wine Garden slated for the fall and winter. Newly added shows include Soul, R&B, Folk, Go-go, Americana, Country, and Comedy acts—as well as a special appearance from City Winery’s CEO and Founder Michael Dorf.
Michael Dorf will visit DC for special evening in line with the launch of his book Indulge Your Senses: Scaling Intimacy in a Digital World. After starting two iconic music venues, The Knitting Factory and City Winery, and surviving the dot-com bust, Michael Dorf offers griping stories and hard earned business lessons with a contrarian twist. The fireside chat moderated by Rudi Greenberg will take place on 11/5; the $30 tickets include a signed copy of the book and complimentary flight of City Winery wines.
Other big name acts for the season in include, Alice in Chains frontman William DuVallwho will perform music from his new solo album, One Alone, on 10/26. On 11/6, join City Winery and author André Mack to celebrate the publication of “99 Bottles: A Black Sheep’s Guide to Life-Changing Wines.” In his entertaining, unconventional wine guide, award-winning sommelier and winemaker André Hueston Mack presents the ninety-nine bottles that most impacted his life and encourages you to find your own. Edwin McCain known for his hits “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask for More” will play at City Winery DC on 11/13.
Country Singer Ingrid Andress performs in the Wine Garden on 12/4. 2020 fills out with diverse acts. Backyard Band brings go-go to the Wine Garden on 12/22. R&B singer-songwriter, Meli’sa Morgan kicks off the new year with a performance on 1/16/2020. Jeff Bradshaw & Friends featuring N’Dambi bring soul and jazz on 1/17/2020. ComediansAida Rodriguez, April Macie, and Chaunté Wayans will be bringing the laughs on 1/24/2020.
Emmitt & Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon make stop at City Winery to perform a set of acoustic shows on 2/11/2020. On 2/13/20, singer–songwriter and guitarist Christopher Paul Stelling performs music from his new album, Best of Luck, which will be released on 2/7 . Dwele returns to the Winery with two shows on 2/15/2020. Music icon Jimmy Webb visits the Winery to perform his classic hits on 4/17/2020 with support from Robin Spielberg.
Tonight, the Wine Garden hosts Artimacy Podcast Unplugged with Cecily, The String Queens, Akua Allrich for a passionate evening for creative souls. Patricia Barber brings her jazz trio to perform on 10/22 while District Triva hosts Trivia Tuesdays in the Barrel Room. Jackopierce and Marie Miller take the stage on 10/24.
On 10/24, guests can get into the fall spirit and learn about delicious seasonal cocktails atFall Into Harvest Cocktails beverage class. The following evening, concert-goers can head to the concert venue to be charmed by Madeleine Peyroux or participate in a Blind Tasting wine class on 1/25. On 10/26 William DuVall, frontman of Alice in Chains, takes the stage. The week closes out in the Wine Garden on 10/27, with a folk and blues evening with Sawyer Fredericks and Beth Bombara and over at the concert venue, a sold out show with Allen Stone’s Karakoke Extravaganza.
City Winery’s first floor Barrel Room Restaurant & Wine Bar is available for pre or post-show dinner and drinks. Reservations can be made atwww.citywinery.com/washingtondc/. Additionally, guests can experience a range of City Winery’s wines at the Tasting Bar located in the entrance alcove, Open Friday 5-8PM, Saturday 1-6PM, and Sunday 1-5PM.
