19th ANNUAL DOWNTOWN HOLIDAY MARKET RETURNS THIS FRIDAY The One-Stop Shop In Downtown DC With Local Craft Goods, Artisan Makers and More
WHAT: Operated by the DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) and Diverse Markets Management, the 19th Annual Downtown Holiday Market, Washington D.C.’s outdoor shopping village, kicks off the holiday season this Friday, November 17.
The beloved outdoor market returns to downtown Penn Quarter, transforming two
city blocks on F Street into a one-stop shop, open-air winter wonderland. Guests can make the most of their holiday shopping experience this winter supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs across the region, finding unique, festive treasures in the heart of the District through December 23. The outdoor shopping village’s expansive footprint allows for wide aisles for shopping, browsing and enjoying the foods and live entertainment.
Opening day will feature special performances by Jennifer Holliday, the Washington Ballet, a parade of favorite Christmas toys and more. Mayor Muriel Bowser, Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) President and CEO, Shawn Townsend, and DowntownDC BID President and CEO, Gerren Price, will share remarks as well during the opening ceremony.
Following past traditions, the holiday market lineup features more than 75 exhibitors including Black-owned and minority-owned businesses as well as food and beverage favorites across the market with tasty treats and hot beverages. Additional exciting and entertaining features include a live stage of exceptional regional performers. The daily schedule is now live on the Downtown Holiday Market’s website and shoppers can download the app linked on the website to receive convenient updates and a map.
