2024 Legacy Cup Finals: Colorado Gray Wolves defeat All Blues Rugby

Greensboro, NC -- The Colorado Gray Wolves defeated the All Blues Rugby of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) in a 31-27 victory on Saturday in the 2024 Legacy Cup Finals, hosted by Women’s Elite Rugby (WER), at MacPherson Stadium at Bryan Park in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Tied 24-24, the All Blues elected to go for points with minutes left in the match to put them up 27-24. Then, in a thrilling fashion, the Gray Wolves fought their way back to score a walk-off try and take home the first-ever Legacy Cup trophy.

The 2024 Legacy Cup, the new national women’s rugby championship, showcased standout athletes aiming to compete in WER’s inaugural 2025 season, a testament to the storied legacy of women’s rugby in the United States, as the sport continues to flourish. WER’s inaugural season is slated to begin in Spring 2025.
