Board Leadership to Discuss Details of Women’s Elite Rugby (WER)
WHAT: A virtual press conference to announce the launch of Women’s Elite Rugby (WER), a new professional league being developed ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2033 in the United States. Members of the Women’s Premier League Rugby (WPL) board will lead a conversation about how they are building the infrastructure to fast-track world-class women’s rugby across the country with a first of its kind, new professional league.
Topics to be addressed include league structure and size, administrative and financial backing, player and team makeup, as well as the anticipated timeline leading up to the inaugural season of this bold, entertaining, and empowering new professional women’s sports league.

Jessica Hammond-Graf, Chair of the Board of Directors for the WPL and former International rugby player
Katherine Aversano, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and federal legal specialist.
Ali Gillberg, Former WPL Director and current advisor to the Board of Directors
And WER is proud to welcome Caroline Fitzgerald, the CEO and Founder of GOALS who will be moderating the conversation.
