NEW SHOWS ANNOUNCED AT CITY WINERY WASHINGTON DC

Urban Winery Adds Diverse Acts to Lineup

Washington, D.C. (August 5 2019)—City Winery Washington DC (1350 Okie St NE) has added several new shows to The Wine Garden and Concert Venue into the fall and winter. Newly added shows include Soul, R&B, Pop, Folk, Country, and Americana acts.

Stylish bookworms unite for the Bad On Books Podcast live show on 10/16, hosted by Grace Atwood and Becca Freeman. On 10/27 Sawyer Fredericks, singer-songwriter and winner of NBC’s The Voice, will perform in the Wine Garden.  

Kicking off November in the Wine Garden, The Flamin’ Groovies with Muck & the Mires bring their own unique and infectious style of rock & roll on 11/1. Performing a slate of positive, high energy music, AJ Ghent will bring a blend of funky blues and soul to the Wine Garden on 11/3. On 11/15, Jontavious Willis & Jerron “Blind Boy” Paxton will bring their old school sound to the Wine Garden. On 11/19, former Better Than Ezra front man and accomplished songwriter Kevin Griffin will perform some alternative rock hits on his Anywhere You Go Tour.  

 

Added to the winter lineup for some holiday spirit is Etienne Charles Creole Christmas on 12/18.

 

Tonight, Crank Jam - The World’s Only Go-Go Jam Session returns to the concert venue stage. Tomorrow night, Angela Johnson will bring warm soulful energy to City Winery with Kenny Wesley. For those looking for a creative outlet, Tuesday night is also Paint Nite: Bernadette - Forest's Edge.

 

Later this week, for Southern Rock vibes join Drivin N Cryin - Album Release Show for “Live The Love Beautiful”. In the Wine Garden, dance the night away with Sirius Company featuring Ms. Kim & Scooby (Limited Seating w/ Dance Floor) as part of their August residency at City Winery. On Thursday, join City Winery for a Wine & Cheese Pairing Class before seeing jazz vocalist Laurin Talese.

 

Start the weekend right with high-spirit wonders the Bumper Jacksons in the concert venue on 8/9 and Backyard Band in the Wine Garden on 8/10.

City Winery’s first floor Barrel Room Restaurant & Wine Bar is available for pre or post-show dinner and drinks. Reservations can be made at www.citywinery.com/washingtondc/. Additionally, guests can experience a range of City Winery’s wines at the Tasting Bar located in the entrance alcove, now open on Sundays as well.

All shows at City Winery start at 8pm unless otherwise noted, and City Winery’s website is updated weekly with special guest announcements and ticketing information. Secure valet parking is available during all City Winery hours of operation.
