DC’s Premier Fashion Event to Host Third Show
WHAT: The DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) presents its thirdDistrict of Fashion Runway Show in partnership with Mayor Muriel Bowser's Commission on Fashion Arts and Events (CFAE). Join celebrity TV personality and stylist Paul Wharton as he hosts the District of Fashion’s runway event, just ahead of New York Fashion Week, to bridge the gap between the two cities and elevate DC’s position in the fashion industry.
WHO: This season’s runway show will feature various national and international designers primarily from DC/MD/VA including Dur Doux, Shari Henry, SJL Collection, Abrams Wearable, ShuEsq, Insight DC, Mylk and Honey Clothier, celebrity designer TruFace by Grace and returning District of Fashion celebrity all-stars Andrew Nowell Menswear, Cheero Citizen, Christopher Schafer Clothier, Grindstone Universal, Sincerely KAJ, and DiDomenico.
WHEN: Thursday, September 5, 2019, 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
The DowntownDC BID District of Fashion Runway Show is an invite-only event. The location, in DowntownDC will be disclosed to registered media only, and ask that media not promote and/or post the event to public platforms ahead of the show.

This special district, where property owners have agreed to tax themselves to fund services, encompasses a 138-block area of approximately 520 properties from Massachusetts Avenue on the north to Constitution Avenue on the south, and from Louisiana Avenue on the east to 16th Street on the west.
