Bar Chinois Coming Soon To Northern Virginia
Favorite Lively Neighborhood Bar & Restaurant Expands to National Landing
WASHINGTON D.C. (March 27, 2025) – Bar Chinois is thrilled to announce the opening of its second location this May in National Landing (244 19th Ct S, Arlington, VA 22202). Building on the success of its Washington, DC flagship, the Rhythm & Eats team is excited to introduce their unique blend of Chinese cuisine with French influences to Northern Virginia.
Spanning 2,800 square feet, the new location will feature signature design elements from the original Bar Chinois, maintaining the vibrant, modern aesthetic that has made it a DC favorite. Guests can enjoy a menu packed with fan-favorite dishes, an expertly curated cocktail and wine list, and the energetic atmosphere that defines the Bar Chinois experience.
The National Landing location will be open seven days a week from 5pm to 11pm, with its popular happy hour offered daily from 5pm to 7pm, featuring half-priced cocktails and $1 dumplings.
“We are excited to bring Bar Chinois to National Landing,” said Dean Mosones, co-owner of Bar Chinois. “Our goal is to create the same energetic experience that brings people together—offering bold flavors, creative cocktails, and warm hospitality that keep guests coming back.”
Crab Rangoon
The menu at Bar Chinois National Landing showcases the bold flavors and creative dishes that have made its DC flagship a sought after dining destination. Guests can indulge in the Red Chili Wontons, delicate pork and shrimp dumplings drenched in a fragrant garlic-chili oil sauce with scallions and soy vinaigrette. The Crab Rangoon delivers a perfect balance of crispiness and creaminess, featuring golden-fried wontons filled with crab and cream cheese, finished with apricot duck sauce and toasted sesame. The 1970’s Garlic Noodles offer a rich, umami-packed experience with egg noodles tossed in a luscious combination of shiitake mushrooms, spinach, garlic butter, parmesan, and a signature chef’s soy sauce. Another standout, the Gyoza De Boeuf, reimagines a classic dumpling with a French-inspired twist, featuring a decadent filling of beef, gruyère, and Swiss cheese, served with pickled onions and a velvety cilantro aioli.
Iron Goddess
Bar Chinois continues to set the bar for inventive cocktails with a dynamic, seasonally inspired selection. The vibrant Lucky Dragon blends Sorgin Grapefruit Gin with Doctor Bird Rum, dragonfruit, passionfruit, pineapple amaro, ginger-honey, lemon, and clarified milk, creating a refreshing yet complex sip. For a smoky and fruit-forward profile, the Humble Cobbler combines Mal Bien Limōn Mezcal with peach, Genépy des Alpes, and lime, striking the perfect balance of warmth and brightness. Those with a taste for something subtly sweet often gravitate toward the Iron Goddess, an indulgent mix of IG tea-infused Wild Turkey Bourbon, Montenegro, pimento dram, blackstrap & cherry vanilla bitters and egg white. Complementing these standout cocktails is a thoughtfully curated French wine list, expertly selected to enhance the layered, bold flavors of the menu.
