DIRTY HABIT WELCOMES AARON AGRE AS OCTOBER HEADLINER FOR WEEKLY LIVE MUSIC SERIES, ‘GREEN ROOM AT HOTEL MONACO’
Tuesday Nights Feature Local Music Performances, Global Cuisine, and Handcrafted Cocktails from Penn Quarter Restaurant
WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 26, 2019) – Dirty Habit, in collaboration with Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington, DC, welcomes Silver Spring-based jazz guitarist and composer Aaron Agre as the headlining musician for “Green Room at Hotel Monaco” on October 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29. The live music series features up-and-coming local musicians on Tuesday nights from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Guests can enjoy the show in the hotel’s emerald green living room-style lobby while enjoying bites from Dirty Habit’s Executive Chef Kyoo Eom and cocktails from Beverage Manager Drew Hairston. Since launching in August, “Green Room at Hotel Monaco” has quickly become a new Tuesday habit for neighbors and visitors to Penn Quarter.
In May 2015, Agre recorded his debut album “Stormglass” featuring all original compositions as a tribute to the legendary jazz innovators of the 1960s and 1970s. Since then, he has collaborated with a number of outstanding musicians on both compositions and arrangements. Guest musicians joining Agre for the October “Green Room at Hotel Monaco” performances are Steve Arnold on acoustic bass and Tyler Leak on drums. The Tuesday weekly music series is open to the public and free to attend.
The “Green Room at Hotel Monaco” menu features Dirty Habit favorites such as tuna tataki ($17), American waygu tartare ($18), and the restaurant’s popular truffle fries ($13). The bar menu offers a seasonal selection of Dirty Habit’s handcrafted cocktails including the Rice ‘N Roses, DH Old Fashioned, and Negroni ($12-14).
Dirty Habit welcomes jazz guitarist and composer Aaron Agre to perform at “Green Room at Hotel Monaco” on October 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29.
