Bagels & Schmear Bring Holiday Cheer at The Tavern at Ivy City Smokehouse

Order The Tavern at Ivy City Smokehouse’s holiday smokehouse platter ($50-$80) for your socially distant family celebration. Enjoy bagels, cream cheese, toppings, and five award-winning smoked fish options: traditional NoVA cold smoked salmon, Pacific Northwest-style honey hot smoked “candy” salmon, Great Lakes whitefish salad, peppercorn hot smoked salmon, and smoked North Carolina rainbow trout. To place a holiday smokehouse order with 48 hours’ notice, visit their website to reserve the platter.

Holiday Platters and New Year’s Eve “Chill & Grill” Dinner at Tony & Joe’s

Georgetown waterfront staple Tony & Joe’s is offering special platters for pickup and delivery, perfect for any get together this holiday season. Guests can choose from mini jumbo lump crab cakes ($35-$85), hot shrimp and crab dip ($75-$150), chilled shrimp cocktail, fruit and cheese, and a smoked fish platter ($40-$100). Those wanting to elevate their takeout celebration can order Tony & Joe’s holiday lobster dinner, complete with steamed whole Maine lobsters, baked potatoes, seasonal vegetables, drawn butter, and sour cream soft rolls ($80). Add Caesar salad, prosecco, and Italian cheesecake for an additional fee. 24 hours’ notice required for takeout orders. Orders can be made online on their website.

As we ring in the new year from 5:00PM to 10:00PM, Tony & Joe’s is also offering an intimate New Year’s Eve “Chill & Grill” dinner and bottle of Tito’s Vodka or Chandon Brut for two, starting at $80 per person. The first-course dinner includes Chesapeake oysters, jumbo shrimp cocktail and Ivy City smoked salmon, followed by herb crusted lamb lollipops, steak satay drizzled with hazelnut pesto, and delicious mini crabcakes for the second-course. Guests can enjoy the night on a sweet note with assorted petit fours, and take leftovers of the drinks and food packaged to-go. Reservations are limited in accordance with current COVID-19 guidelines, and must be booked via email to Tony & Joe’s General Manager Jonathan Eagleton at jonathan@dcseafood.com.

 Wings and Crowler Platters at Nick’s Riverside Grill

The wings and crowler platters ($34) from Nick’s Riverside Grill are the perfect holiday addition to your at-home game watching and television binging festivities with roommates, friends or family. Platters include three pounds of Old Bay, sweet chili, or buffalo sauce chicken wings, poblano ranch, and fresh celery.
