11/16: Kernza Lager Can Release Parties at Atlas Brew Works
WHAT: Atlas Brew Works is excited to release cans of its Kernza Lager, brewed in partnership with Patagonia Provisions, on Saturday, November 16. Enjoy $1 off Kernza Lager drafts at all three taproom locations and the ability to buy exclusive Patagonia glassware, while supplies last. Pair these drink specials with award-winning Andy’s Pizza for purchase at the Navy Yard and Alexandria Brewery & Tap Room locations. Kernza Lager cans from the limited release will also be available for purchase at all three locations, while supplies last.
Help save the planet and celebrate this sustainable collaboration at all three Atlas Brew Works Brewery & Tap Room locations this November. Kernza Lager, made in partnership with Patagonia Provisions, the food and beverage division of outdoor apparel company Patagonia, is brewed with certified organic Kernza, barley and hops. The beer is light and fruity, with just a hint of spice and a dry finish. Kernza, a deeply-rooted regenerative perennial grain, has the potential to transform the brewing industry.
Keeping with its reputation and mission of sustainable stewardship, Atlas boasts sustainable energy sources at all of its locations and is excited to partner with a like-minded environmental steward like Patagonia Provisions. Patagonia Provisions is confident that ongoing research will also confirm that Kernza draws down and stores more carbon in the soil than annual grains. When used in beer, it adds a deliciously rich but subtle nutty flavor.
