Lobby Bar Set to Open its Doors on Capitol Hill This Spring

The New Restaurant Will Offer American Fare and a Unique Craft Cocktail Experience

Washington, DC - Nested in the heart of Capitol Hill, Lobby Bar (224 7th St SE, Washington, DC 20003) is set to debut this spring, offering a refined yet playful take on classic American fare and expertly crafted cocktails. The 2000 sq-ft restaurant is designed with the mindset of being a gathering place for all—whether unwinding after work, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying a great meal—Lobby Bar will blend sophistication with a welcoming, lively atmosphere.

Thoughtfully designed, Lobby Bar will be where elegance meets fun. The reimagined space will include 18 bar seats, cozy booths, a communal table for larger parties, and patio seating for dining alfresco. Whether enjoying a night out with friends, a business dinner, or a special celebration, Lobby Bar looks forward to being a community hub for all guests, no matter the occasion. Their innovative menu will showcase elevated American favorites with a modern twist, while the bar program leans into both classic and creative cocktails, proving that the best connections happen over a well-made drink.

“Lobby Bar pays homage to the hustle and bustle of Capitol Hill and the historic Eastern Market neighborhood,” said Adam Shulman, founder of Lobby Bar. “We wanted to create a space that’s effortlessly stylish but never exclusive—a place where locals, tourists, and Capitol Hill professionals alike can gather, connect, and enjoy a great night out.” Shulman comes from decades of experience in the hospitality industry, most recently serving as director of nightlife and events for MGM Resorts International.

Tory Pratt, founder of DC based Pratt & Standard Cocktail Company, is eager to bring unique recipes to Lobby Bar’s cocktail program. With over a decade in the cocktail space, her expertise in creating dynamic beverage experiences is unmatched. Pratt looks forward to designing Lobby Bar’s cocktail program and speciality martini menu featuring Pratt & Standard products with unseen flavor profiles and new twists on classic recipes.

Lobby Bar is excited to be working with local vendors and farmers from directly across the street at historic Eastern Market. The 150 year old market place will be the source for many ingredients found on Lobby Bar’s menu from fresh meat products, seasonal produce and more.
