UI Running Back Tyler Goodson Signs NIL Deal with USA Natural Patches

University of Iowa Running Back Calls on Fans to Join $70,000 Fundraising Campaign Benefiting the UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital

Iowa City, IA - USA Natural Patches announced today a mid-season NIL deal with University of Iowa Running Back Tyler Goodson. The endorsement for Goodson, a junior, is the second NCAA agreement signed this year for the company, and will take center stage ahead of the #5 Hawkeyes home game against #4 Penn State on October 9.

That afternoon, the stadium’s crowd of 70,000 fans will take part in “The Wave” - the school’s traditional salute to the patients and families in the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, overlooking the field. Foregoing any first game payment, Goodson and USA Natural Patches have instead collaborated on a custom, honorary game day patch for fans to wear on their forearm during The Wave - a symbolic gesture to accompany a donation of up to $70,000 - $1 for each fan that participates - to the hospital.

Goodson is an active, proud supporter of the hospital, already donating a portion of the proceeds from his branded merchandise to the beloved institution. He wears the B1 Sports Performance Patch, an all natural performance and wellness enhancer, which on game day will serve a dual purpose - to benefit the hospital, and anybody wearing one. The transdermal daily patch provides 75mg of 100% liquid thiamine, enabling the body to produce more energy during strenuous activity. He said, “I heard about using the B1 patches to feel better and stronger during training. After trying it, I was totally comfortable accepting a deal. And I am proud to begin the deal by giving back to the courageous warriors who watch us play from the windows at the hospital every week. I hope The Wave will be a bit more special during our game against Penn State. This is an important match up and we need our fans to stay energized for all four quarters too!”

Full details on participating patch pick-up locations will be released the week of the game, so locals and fans visiting from out of town for the game can take part in the campaign.

USA Natural Patches founder and CEO Jerry Castello said of the partnership, “Tyler is known by his teammates as someone who lives in the gym. He has an incredible work ethic and is already making himself known on NFL Draft boards while only a junior. We are excited to have someone who appreciates the benefits of our B1 Sports Performance patch, and we’re proud to help fuel this fundraising effort and his athletic journey forward.”

The patches, available online at www.usanaturalpatches.com, are used at every level of sport, trusted for the past decade by athletes including three-time Super Bowl Champion Devin McCourty, Miami Dolphins Team Captain Jerome Baker, and IndyCar Driver James Hinchcliffe. The patches are appropriate for ages 7+, for parents with active schedules, weekend recreation, those with stressful or physically demanding jobs, students, and those suffering from medical conditions like type 1 or 2 diabetes, Crohn's disease, and lupus that benefit from heightened B1 levels.
