New Shows Announced at City Winery

WASHINGTON, DC — City Winery Washington DC (1350 Okie St NE) has added new late winter and spring shows to the Concert Venue and Wine Garden. Newly added shows include R&B, Go-go, Gospel, and pop.
Guests looking for New Year’s Eve plans can celebrate the New Year at City Winery DC! In the Concert Venue on 12/31, R&B outlier Lyfe Jennings will ring in 2020 with two shows. Up in the Wine Garden on the last night of the year, genre-defying group Secret Society takes the stage. Come back for more the following evening with Lyfe Jennings - New Year’s Day Broken Resolutions Party!
City Winery is proud to announce new shows added to the winter lineup. On 1/31, local R&B and Go-go group Black Alley takes over the Concert Venue. Start off February with an evening with Gospel songstress, Ann Nesby on 2/1.Eric Nolan (of the Mighty O’Jays) and Annisa Hargrove bring R&B to the Wine Garden on 2/9. Looking ahead to the spring lineup, City Winery has added two shows! Who’s Bad 20/20: The Evolution of Pop comes to Ivy City 3/13 for a multisensory experience spanning five decades and the soulful Heather Mae performs music from her album Glimmer in the Wine Garden on 4/3.
This week starts with DC Moth StorySlam with their “traditions” show. On 12/17, head to the Wine Garden as Mike Zito brings Rock & Roll, A Tribute To Chuck Berry or join District Trivia for Trivia Tuesdays. Get into the Christmas spirit with Etienne Charles’ Creole Christmas show on 12/18. Join theprotagonist of the Oscar award-winning documentary Searching For Sugar Man, Rodriguez, for a sold out, intimate evening of music and conversation with guitarist Raye Zaragoza.
Start the weekend laughing with Urban Flavorz X-Mas Comedy Jam with Kevin Lee, Timmy Hall, Ty Davis, Rob Maher. On 12/21, spend An Evening with Freddie Jackson in the Concert Venue or head to Daylight Big Tone Birthday: Toys For Tots Drive in the Wine Garden. Closing out the weekend isthe sold-out Kevin Lionell “Soulful Christmas” show and Backyard Band in the Wine Garden.
City Winery’s first floor Barrel Room Restaurant & Wine Bar is available for pre- or post-show dinner and drinks. Reservations can be made at www.citywinery.com/washingtondc. Additionally, guests can experience a range of City Winery’s wines at the Tasting Bar located in the entrance alcove, Open Friday 5-8PM, Saturday 1-6PM, and Sunday 1-5PM.
All shows at City Winery start at 8pm unless otherwise noted. City Winery’s website is updated weekly with special guest announcements and ticketing information. Secure valet parking is available during all City Winery hours of operation.
