NEW SHOWS ANNOUNCED AT CITY WINERY WASHINGTON DC

Ivy City Winery Adds Diverse Acts to Lineup

Washington, D.C. (September 16, 2019)—City Winery Washington DC (1350 Okie St NE) has added several new shows to the Wine Garden and Concert Venue slated for the fall and winter. Newly added shows include Soul, Pop, Folk, Country, R&B, and Alternative Rock acts.   

 

A lot of shows to look forward to this fall! One of Austin’s most celebrated musicians, Bob Schneider will take the City Winery stage on 10/15 in support of his new album Blood and Bones. On 10/17, Marc Cohn, the voice behind the hit “Walking on Memphis” will perform. Called the “great American romantic” by the New York TimesEdwin McCain plays at City Winery DC on 11/13. Don’t miss your chance to hear “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask for More” live! 

New to the fall lineup: Artimacy Podcast Unplugged w / Cecily, The String Queens, Akula Allrich in the Wine Garden on 10/21 for an evening of authenticity and human creativity. To celebrate Allen Stone's new album Building Balance, he’s hosting his first-ever Karaoke Extravaganza Tour on 10/27.

 

Mehmet Erdem will transport guests to Turkey with a performance in the Wine Garden on 10/29.  Lil John Roberts brings his Jazz and R&B fusions with guest performers Kari Epps and Tony Taatem on 11/30. 

Looking forward to the new year, the soulful Lenny Williams performs 1/9. Proper Utensils featuring Jas Funk bring Go-Go music to the Wine Garden on 1/12. Singer-songwriter and The Voice alumnus Tony Lucca has been added to the Wine Garden line-up for 1/31. 

 

This week begins with a performance from local community members at DC Moth StorySLAM: Neighborhoods. Continuing the week is Leigh Nash, the Sixpence None The Richer singer known for hits such as “Kiss Me” and “There She Goes”, on 9/17 in the Wine Garden. Team Familiar also returns the same evening for a Go-Go celebration.  On 9/18, Fink Solo will deliver an intimate performance in the Concert Venue while a wine pairing class featuring Malbec and the musicMichael Jackson takes place in the Wine Garden. On 9/19 Guitarist, Ray Wylie Hubbard takes the stage in the Concert Venue and Talbott Brothers & Emily Scott Robinson serenade in the Wine Garden.

 

The weekend starts with alternative rock group Shonen Knife in the Wine Garden and a sold out Straight Up with Stassi Live show with Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder in the Concert Venue on 9/20. Two performances from Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda - A Cabaret by the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, DC will be taking place in the Concert Venue on 9/21Closing out the week is an acoustic evening with R&B and Gospel legend Shirley Murdock in the Concert Venue and HERA Music Festival, the female helmed music festival showcasing local D.C women in music in the Wine Garden on 9/22.

 

City Winery’s first floor Barrel Room Restaurant & Wine Bar is available for pre or post-show dinner and drinks. Reservations can be made at www.citywinery.com/washingtondc/. Additionally, guests can experience a range of City Winery’s wines at the Tasting Bar located in the entrance alcove, now open on Sundays as well. 

 

All shows at City Winery start at 8pm unless otherwise noted, and City Winery’s website is updated weekly with special guest announcements and ticketing information. Secure valet parking is available during all City Winery hours of operation.
