Avery Meetre Named to Women in Restaurant Leadership Advisory Board
LRA PR Vice President Joins Industry Executives Shaping Future of Women in Foodservice
Washington, DC—Women in Restaurant Leadership (WiRL) announced this week a 30-member Advisory Board, leading the organization’s mission to gather female leaders from around the foodservice industry to foster mentorship opportunities and provide career advice. Joining the esteemed panel of industry executives is LRA PR Vice President Avery Meetre.
Over her 11-years at LRA PR, Meetre has advanced both the agency and its clients across a range of industries through her growth-driven focus on networking and innovative, thoughtful storytelling. Her work has been far-reaching, but her passion has remained squarely within foodservice. This appointment will provide a platform for her ideas, enthusiasm, and encouragement of young women seeking advancement in both communications and marketing, as well as restaurant operations. Previously, Meetre served as President of the International Foodservice Editorial Council, a dynamic collective of leading food industry media and marketers, representing the interests of growers, manufacturers, distributors, operators, and, of course, chefs, all around the world. She will lend her years of experience and expertise to WiRL at its annual Together Summit next February, and QSR Evolution and FSR NextGen this fall, as well as through year-round programming.

Her work with WiRL complements Meetre’s already robust role as manager to seven direct reports, helping them learn best practices and grow to become leaders in their fields, and client account lead. She continues to drive the agency’s legacy work with Washington, DC-based Atlas Brew Works, Richard Sandoval Hospitality, and others. Meetre recently wrapped up LRA PR’s support of eMerge Americas - a thriving technology conference held annually in Miami Beach, Florida, which discussed innovations in hospitality amidst myriad other topics.
