(April 14, 2025) – Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab (700 K St NW, Washington, DC 20001), located in Mount Vernon Square is a premier dining destination known for its premium seafood and steadfast dedication to sustainability, bringing a variety of high-quality flavors to guests.
The diverse menu of chilled and hot flavorful fresh seafood ranges from globally sourced crab, lobster, fish, shrimp and more. The legendary Florida Stone Crab is proudly served to diners while it is in season from mid October through May 1st. The Florida Stone Crab is cooked, chilled, pre-cracked, and served within 24 hours to ensure exceptional tenderness. In addition, Prime King Crab and Cold Water Lobster Tails are available to ensure guests have a delicious and flavorful seafood experience all year. Lastly, for guests who prefer prime steaks and chops, Truluck’s USDA Prime hand cut steaks are aged a minimum of 30 days, offered in filet, ribeye, and New York strip cuts and are seasoned and broiled at 1200°F for perfection.
Executive Chef, Darryl Abraham brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Truluck’s kitchen with more than 15 years of experience in the food and beverage industry. His culinary journey began in his mother’s kitchen and his passion for cooking developed.
Abraham states, “my favorite thing about Truluck’s is the people I work with. It genuinely feels like family here,” he says. “I love the beginning of every day. Coming into work and greeting my team. Saying a warm hello to everyone just starts my day off in the right way.”
Other Spring seasonal delights include the TRU Pearle Oyster, a premium, farm-raised oysters from Maine. Grown in uniquely salty-sweet waters, they’re celebrated for their plump texture, rich buttery flavor, and clean, briny finish. For those craving something sweet, the limited-time offerings Spring dessert special is a warm lemon-blueberry infused bread pudding, served with velvety vanilla bean ice cream, luscious crème anglaise, tangy blueberry compote, and a crunchy lemon streusel topping.
Complementing the exceptional culinary offerings, Truluck’s world-class beverage program is designed to elevate every dining experience. Guests can choose from over 40 wines by the glass, 250 meticulously curated bottles, and an inspired selection of handcrafted cocktails — including sophisticated zero-proof options. Each pairing is intentionally crafted to enhance the flavors of Truluck’s signature dishes. A standout on the spring cocktail list is The Lucky Clover, a must-try blend of tequila, raspberry, and fresh lemon, crowned with a velvety froth, available starting April 17th through Memorial Day.
