Celebrate the Holiday Season at dLeña this December

Enjoy expanded Chef’s Table offerings, new menu items, and a special New Year’s Eve celebration

Washington, DC—dLeña by Chef Richard Sandoval is excited to announce distinct holiday programming to celebrate the festive season. The modern Mexican concept has rolled out a new winter menu, expanded its Chef’s Table offerings, creating the perfect gift for a food enthusiast, and will offer a special prix fixe menu and live music on New Year’s Eve.

dLeña will roll out new menu items for the winter season starting Friday, December 2. Enjoy starters like Maryland crab guacamole, empanadas de wagyu, wagyu beef tiradito with citrus salsa macha, escabeche veggies, avocado cream, and shaved truffle, and hot stone steak with A5 grade wagyu tenderloin, ancho reyes-ponzu sauce, smoked grape chimichurri, and charred tlayuda. Other new menu items include the ensalada de kale with pomegranate, honeycrisp apple, agave roasted yams, cherry tomatoes, agave almonds, smoked blue cheese, and orange balsamic vinaigrette, guajillo crab chowder, and pulpo tacos with criolla slaw, chimichurri mayo, and grilled mango salsa. Try the new entree offering, lamb barbacoa shank with salsa verde cruda, escabeche veggies, pickled red onions, and blue corn tortillas, followed by the new jericalla cheesecake with hibiscus and amarena cherry, crispy tuile, and sun dried fig jam for dessert.

Mount Vernon Triangle locals and visitors are also invited to try dLeña’s new La Firma de el Chef, or The Signature of the Chef, offerings. Beginning Tuesday, December 6, guests can experience chef’s table offerings Tuesday through Saturday evenings with two seatings per night. The perfect holiday gift for a loved one, the La Firma de el Chef experience is now bookable through a designated link on OpenTable.

On New Year’s Eve, December 31, indulge in a celebratory five-course, prix fixe menu with offerings sure to please every palate. For $150 per person, with an optional $75 coursed beverage pairing, guests can enjoy an array of starters including wagyu grilled guacamole, ceviche amarillo, and a variety of salads and soups. Taco options include short rib, pork carnitas, langosta, and hongos a la leña for those who do not eat meat. Choose from inviting main dishes like pollo al carbón, camarones a la diabla, and coliflor a la leña, among other choices straight from dLeña’s wood burning grill. End the meal with desserts like crispy churros, pastel de elote, and sorbets and gelatos. dLeña and dLeña ROJA are located at 476 K Street NW, Suite D, Washington, DC 20001. Lunch hours are 11am to 3pm Monday through Friday. Dinner hours are 5pm to 10pm Sunday through Thursday, and 5pm to 11pm Friday and Saturday. Brunch is offered at dLeña from 10am to 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
