Pappe, Logan Circle’s Indian Cuisine Staple, Debuts New Happy Hour Menu

Beloved Indian Spot Unveils a New Happy Hour Menu Highlighting Seasonal Cocktails, Small Plates, and More

WASHINGTON, DC Pappe, the colorful Indian cuisine staple in the heart of DC’s Logan Circle neighborhood, is excited to debut a revamped happy hour menu featuring naan kathi rolls, the popular street-food dish that originated in India. Featuring rich and savory ingredients, the kathi rolls are available with your choice of lamb, chicken, paneer (Indian cheese) or channa pindi (chickpeas). Guests can also enjoy a selection of cocktails, including the ‘Ginger Bliss’, made with rum, elderflower liqueur, ginger, and lime, plus $10 off bottles of wine.

Pappe specializes primarily in Northern Indian cuisine while tapping into Chef Mandhaiya’s experience cooking in some of India’s finest restaurants, including Moti Mahel, the inventors of the iconic Butter Chicken. Chef Sanjay Mandhaiya has assembled a talented team, including Santos Chay as Chef De Cuisine and Robel Berhe as Lead Mixologist. Their dynamic, collaborative approach to creating tasty dishes and cocktails alike brings a refreshing excitement to the dining experience as guests taste their way through Northern India. Along with Pappe’s colorful interior featuring silk fabrics imported from New Delhi and hand drawn wall murals, an outdoor street-eatery is also available for guests to relax and dine al fresco after a busy day of work or exploring the nation’s capital.

About Pappe

Since 2018, Pappe has brought authentic Northern Indian cuisine to the 14th Street corridor in Northwest DC. Pappe, which means ‘brother’ in Punjabi, is an affectionate term used at Pappe to refer to one another. Led by Chef Sanjay Mandhaiya, Pappe’s food is inspired by fresh and rich ingredients, a savory traditional fare that represents his homeland and feeds the soul. Pappe’s design is inspired by the vibrant markets of Delhi and Jaipur, where draped fabrics provide a colorful backdrop to a multitude of street food vendors.
