Spring Into the Season at Washington Hilton
The hotel will host a Cherry Blossom Lounge with seasonal cocktail offerings, festive inspired decor, and a Cherry Blossom speciality package
Washington, D.C. – Spring is just around the corner and Washington Hilton is getting ready to celebrate the arrival of the famous cherry blossom blooms with a variety of festive offerings. To commemorate the beauty of the blossoms around the city, the property will transform McClellan’s Sports Bar into a Cherry Blossom Lounge on display all season long. The installation will include natural, immersive cherry blossom decor throughout the restaurant and at Sidecar, to complete the experience and immerse guests into a realm of enchanting spring wonders. Kat Flowers Design & Décor will spearhead the design, and the limited time festive menu will feature specialty drinks from The House of Suntory, celebrating the artistry and elegance of Japanese craftsmanship.
Guests can enjoy spring-inspired cocktails such as the Haku Espresso Martini, crafted with Haku Japanese vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, and finished with espresso beans or an orange twist. Additional cocktails include the Go Juu Martini with Roku gin, Sakura-Mancino vermouth, garnished with a dried peach slice or edible flowers, Sakura Spritz with Haku vodka, Sakura simple syrup, prosecco and garnished with edible Japanese Cherry Blossom flowers, Blossom featuring Toki whisky, Tozai Blossom of Peace, and Luxardo cherry liqueur, along with a Japanese Whisky Flight with Toki, Legent, Yamazaki whisky.
Culinary highlights include the Sakura Braised Short Rib, a 12-hour braised short rib, served with twice whipped mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, and a Cherry Blossom demi-glace and Hanami Cheesecake, a New York cheesecake topped with Luxardo cherry compote and shaved chocolate. These items will be available from March 20 - April 13 as dinner specials at McClellan’s and Sidecar.
