The Watermark Hotel Welcomes New Director of Restaurants and Bars

Industry veteran Erik Bergman joins the team at the Tysons property in Capital One Center

Tysons, VA—The Watermark Hotel is proud to announce the appointment of new Director of Restaurants and Bars, Erik Bergman. Bergman will lead the operations of Wren, the chic and stunning Japanese dining destination located on the 11th floor of the property, Perch Putt’s retro bar and rotating lineup of local food trucks, the Aviary, where guests can enjoy bountiful and healthy breakfast options featuring a rotating menu of locally-sourced and chef-driven dishes, and the hotel’s banquet and catering operations. 

As Director of Restaurants and Bars, Bergman will oversee all food and beverage operations, focusing on creativity, innovation and providing guests with unparalleled culinary experiences. Bergman brings extensive operational knowledge and managerial experience to the Watermark team in his new role as Director of Restaurant and Bars, boasting over 20 years in the food and beverage industry, with 10 of those years spent in frontline customer service in various operations from fast casual to fine dining.  He has worked with regional independent operators including the DMV based Neighborhood Restaurant Group, Guilford Hall Brewery in Baltimore, and national brands such as Kimpton Hotels, and most recently, Thompson Hospitality. 

Bergman’s passion for the hospitality industry comes from a lifelong love for the craft. He prides himself on creating happy, memorable experiences for every guest and team member.
