Wren Debuts Exclusive Omakase Menu with Sake Pairings
Guests can delight their taste buds with an immersive multi-course sushi tasting menu in Tysons
Tysons, VA – Wren (1825 Capital One Dr, Tysons, VA 22102), located on the 11th floor lobby level of the Watermark Hotel, is rolling out a one-of-a-kind dining experience for guests to enjoy with the addition of Executive Chef Yo Matsuzaki's Omakase menu and specialty sake pairings featuring the finest sakes. The Omakase menu will only be available on Mondays and includes 18-20 courses paired with sake and wine.
This exciting new experience will have one seating at 7 p.m. and is available for guests in groups of two or more with only six seats available nightly. Guests will enjoy their tasting in an intimate semi-private area in Wren’s bar where Hobin Kim, Executive Sous Chef, and Masha Yelnikova, Beverage Director, will personally greet and guide them through their tasting journey.
This immersive experience places the fate of the meal completely in the hands of the chef. Omakase allows guests to be face-to-face with the chef, who will gauge reactions and help guide diners toward the best possible experience.
Chef Kim uses fish that comes from Japan, Korea, Spain, West Coast, East Coast, Canada, and New Zealand. The fish is then aged for five days to maximize the flavor. The menu begins with zensai (snack/appetizer), followed by nigiri, yakimono (food over fire), and dessert as the finale. Each pairing will typically start with sparkling sake for the first two courses, followed by a sake flight, and a more robust wine with the A5 wagyu.

About Wren
Inspired by the Japanese concept of izakaya, Wren is a space for guests to comfortably gather and connect while sharing good food, drink, and companionship. Chef Yo Matsuzaki draws upon locally-grown ingredients to present guests with sophisticated but approachable cuisine that fuses Japanese street food with modern American elements. From perfectly shucked oysters and expertly-cut sashimi to dishes such as baby beet salad with yuzu pistachio vinaigrette or grilled “Mishima” wagyu steak, the menu celebrates the best of both cultures. To complete the experience, bartenders serve meticulously curated cocktails and locally crafted beer and wine that, for anyone interested, can be expertly paired with the cuisine. From start to finish, whether dropping in for happy hour, lingering over a long, romantic dinner, or topping off an evening at the theater with a nightcap, Wren is a unique destination that offers exceptional dining without pretense and a true gathering place for all.
