Wren Welcomes in Autumn With New Seasonal Menu Dishes
‘Fall’ into flavor with Chef Yo Matsuzaki’s new menu crafted to bring out the best of the season
TYSONS, VA. (October 10, 2024) — With October ushering in cooler weather and the celebration of Halloween, Wren (1825 Capital One Drive South, Tysons, Virginia, 22102), located on the 11th floor lobby level of the Watermark Hotel, is excited to announce their fall seasonal menu. The additions include a delicious variety of cocktails and menu items carefully curated by Executive Chef Yo Matsuzaki and Assistant Director of Restaurants and Bars Erin Edwards.
At Wren, the team drives inspiration through Japanese culture while adding modern American elements. Packed with fresh, vibrant flavors, new entrées include the Hotate, day boat scallops with corn succotash, spiced shiitake mushrooms, nori butter, and ginger scallion oil; Tori, a roasted green circle chicken breast served with yakumi salad, okoge rice, and amazake tare.
Additional highlights include the Wagyu Fried Rice with imperial wagyu, garlic chives, green asparagus, and soy sesame fried rice; Gindara, a miso marinated black cod; Gyu, a grilled angus beef tenderloin, complemented with smashed fingerling potatoes, and wagyu demi espuma; Baby Beets and Horenso served with baby spinach, endive, walnuts, candied ginger, topped with maple balsamic vinaigrette.
Wren is also currently accepting reservations from October 28 - December 4 for its exclusive omakase tasting experience here. Tucked away at a limited six-seat private table, guests are immersed in an intimate experience as Executive Sous Chef, Hobin Kim, prepares an 18-20 course culinary journey. The evening showcases Chef’s mastery and passion while the Wren beverage team artfully pairs the experience with sake, wine, and Wren’s signature cocktails.

Inspired by the Japanese concept of izakaya, Wren is a space for guests to comfortably gather and connect while sharing good food, drink, and companionship. Chef Yo Matsuzaki draws upon locally-grown ingredients to present guests with sophisticated but approachable cuisine that fuses Japanese street food with modern American elements. From perfectly shucked oysters and expertly-cut sashimi to dishes such as baby beet salad with yuzu pistachio vinaigrette or grilled “Mishima” wagyu steak, the menu celebrates the best of both cultures. To complete the experience, bartenders serve meticulously curated cocktails and locally crafted beer and wine that, for anyone interested, can be expertly paired with the cuisine. From start to finish, whether dropping in for happy hour, lingering over a long, romantic dinner, or topping off an evening at the theater with a nightcap, Wren is a unique destination that offers exceptional dining without pretense and a true gathering place for all.
